【Abstract】: What is an explosion-proof tool? Explosion proof tools refer to tools that do not generate mechanical sparks due to friction and impact....

Installation, maintenance, and daily maintenance of the situation. In terms of materials, there are two main types of explosion-proof tools: aluminum bronze material and beryllium bronze material

What is an explosion-proof tool? Explosion proof tools refer to tools that do not generate mechanical sparks due to friction and impact. They are called explosion-proof tools. Explosion proof tools are mainly used for installation, maintenance, and daily maintenance in various flammable and explosive situations. In terms of materials, there are two main types of explosion-proof tools: aluminum bronze material and beryllium bronze material. (Another material is J892, which has a good reputation in the United States. Its main material is titanium copper alloy. Explosion proof tools of this material are generally not seen in the market, mainly because its multiple regions have applied for reputation in the United States, and domestic manufacturers do not know its composition or have corresponding technical production, and the United States currently does not produce this type of tool.)

In addition, are there any other materials that can be used to make explosion-proof tools? The answer is yes. What is explosion-proof material? When materials are used as tools, friction or impact will not generate mechanical sparks during use (according to regulations, even if sparks are generated, the heat generated by sparks is not enough to ignite flammable gases or dust in the surrounding environment), then this material is an explosion-proof material

As for bronze, there are many types of bronze, such as tin bronze, aluminum bronze, phosphorus bronze, beryllium bronze, titanium bronze, etc. Why do we only choose aluminum bronze and beryllium bronze to manufacture explosion-proof tools? And only one type of aluminum bronze is chosen, and beryllium bronze is also one of them. In fact, all bronze can be used to manufacture explosion-proof tools, and even all brass can be used to manufacture explosion-proof tools, especially tin bronze and phosphorus bronze, but we choose to use them according to actual needs and material characteristics

Tin bronze, phosphorus bronze, and other materials, due to their low hardness and strength, cannot be effectively treated through heat treatment. Their higher hardness is HB 200 (equivalent to hrc 16), which is used to manufacture explosion-proof tools. Although the cost is low, the products are not practical, so they are usually not used to manufacture explosion-proof tools. There are many types of aluminum bronze that can also be chosen based on the characteristics of the material. It should be said that some aluminum bronze materials have undergone heat treatment, which results in high hardness and strength, and low cost (lower than the current production of aluminum bronze explosion-proof tools). However, most manufacturers do not know the specific heat treatment process, so I still chose traditional materials. There are many types of beryllium bronze and aluminum bronze, and currently manufacturers generally choose QBe2. In fact, all beryllium bronze materials can be used to manufacture explosion-proof tools, but the heat treatment (solid solution treatment and artificial aging) process is different
